2. How is a Travel Agent compensated?
Unless fees are discussed up front for such ala Carte services such as airline reservations or restaurant arrangements, all agents are compensated through the various suppliers used and at no additional cost to the traveler. For example, Walt Disney Travel Company offers compensation to Travel Agents at no additional cost to the clients. Most hotel chains also offer compensation to Travel Agents and offer specialist training courses to Agents to make sure we are adequately prepared to sell their individual properties (see my certifications on the About Me page).
3. Can a Travel Agent meet or beat online quotes from various travel websites such as Expedia.com or Hotwire.com?
In most cases, YES! Those sites are also travel selling sites and I have access to virtually the same information and quotes but with a higher level of service and personalization.
4. Will I need a passport to travel to the Caribbean or Mexico?
The simple answer is yes. The passport requirements are changing and it is becoming ever more necessary to have a passport when you traveling outside the U.S. For the latest passport requirements, please visit http://travel.state.gov/
CRUISES |
1. Are cruises for everybody?
Yes! There are an abundance of cruise ship choices with a plethora of itinerary options appealing to people of all age groups and walks of life. Most cruise ships now offer activities on board for all ages. For example, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has multiple programs for kids 17 and under while offering an array of adult activities such as spa treatments, exercise classes, Karaoke, ice skating (on select ships), surfing (yes…surfing!), and many more options. I can help you pick the right ship with the itinerary that suits your individual travel needs.
2. What is included in the cost of a cruise?
Cruise costs can be related to an all-inclusive vacation. Your cruise fare includes all meals, some non-alcoholic beverages, your stateroom, and all entertainment on board. Most cruise lines charge extra fees for specialty drinks, sodas, and alcohol. There may also be extra charges for eating at a specialty restaurant on board if you so choose. I can help you understand all of the costs involved and even show how you can include your airfare and transfers in the price of the cruise.
3. How long are most cruises?
Each cruise line offers a variety of itineraries, each with varying durations. There are cruises ranging from three days to 21 plus days. I can help you sift through and find that perfect cruise to fit your budget and vacation desires.
4. What about seasickness?
Almost all of the modern cruise ships are of a size that minimizes the motion of the ocean. In addition, most cruise ships are equipped with stabilizers that are deployed during rougher seas to help keep the ships stable and the passengers comfortable.
WALT DISNEY WORLD VACATIONS |
1. Can an agent help arrange every aspect of a Disney vacation?

An added benefit is that I can help you plan a Walt Disney Vacation during the less crowded periods and also keep you informed of specials that Disney may be offering throughout the year (sign up for free tips and information). |
2. Can I get the same benefit by using a Travel Agent as I would if I used the Disney website?
